Skip by Amelia Bullmore

A comedy about pausing or at least postponing the inevitable.

When Lizzie arrives at an old house belonging to her family in Scotland, she is appalled at the mess and sets about trying to sort it out. She starts off with clean-sweep energy chucking things into the skip she’s hired, but she is brought to a halt by some of the things she finds and gradually all her energy ebbs away until one day her brother Ewan turns up wanting to know what’s going on.
