Brooke’s favourite handywoman is Chloe, who is always on hand to fix things. Brooke loves having Chloe working in the house, and maybe even causes some of the breakages – ramps, ceiling tracks, catflaps – in order to call her round. And when Chloe’s anxiety about flooding spirals, it’s a natural next step to commission her to build an ark. Less anxiety, more proximity. Bingo.
